Jack looked at his watch. 1800 hours. He couldn’t wait any longer. He had to see her. Sam had been so distraught after being forced to kill Martouf with the Zat gun. His heart had hurt for her as he watched her cradling Martouf’s lifeless body in her arms on the floor in front of the Stargate. It had only been three hours ago, but it had felt like a lifetime.
He had wanted to go to her right then, to hold her in his arms and protect her from the pain that was so visibly written on her face. But with about every SGC personnel in the Gateroom, along with the Tok’ra and the Secret Service, all he could do was stand by and watch her suffer. After a few minutes, she had managed to get up and step away, in order for the Tok’ra to attend to their fallen hero.
Their eyes had met, hers filled with tears, his with a touching sympathy. She had given him the smallest of smiles, one that only gave his soul more reason to ache. Turning away from him, she had stayed with Martouf, taking his lifeless hand after they had placed him on a stretcher.
Jack knew he could have easily allowed jealousy to take over his mind and heart, providing him with yet another reason to dislike Martouf. For even in death, it seemed he possessed a part of Sam that he would never know. But then Jack reminded himself that the part he didn’t know really belong to Jolinar, not Sam.
So he had left her in the Gateroom to work out whatever emotions were raking her body, emotions that he would never be able to understand. For even though it was Sam who was carrying them, he felt sure that not even she would ever fully understand them.
So now here he was, his mind still consumed by the pain he saw in her eyes, and his inability to help her with it. He was trying to give her space and time to deal with what had just happened, but it was eating him up inside. He had to at least find her and make sure she was surviving this.
Walking to her lab, his mind went over the best way to broach the subject. The problem was he had never been good with words. Until recently, he hadn’t even been able to understand his own emotions, let alone another person’s. But Sam had opened a part of his heart that he had never before truly experienced, and it was that part of his heart that was bringing him to her now.
Entering the doorway of her lab, he noticed it was empty. Maybe she had gone home. Jack looked around for anyone that might know where she could be. The lab across the hall seemed to be a bustle of activity. Walking over to it, he stuck his head in and quickly furrowed his brow.
‘Crap!’ Jack thought. ‘It’s that guy that works with Sam. What was his name…’ Jack cleared his throat. “Uhm, excuse me…Hank?”
Henry turned around and tried to hide his irritation as Colonel O’Neill once again got his name wrong. “It’s Henry, Sir.”
Jack rolled his eyes, not really caring that he once again got the guy’s name wrong. All he cared about was finding Sam. “Sorry, Henry. Do you know where Major Carter is?”
Henry shook his head. “I’m sorry, Sir, but I haven’t seen her. I did hear from one of the other scientists that they thought she was with the Tok’ra who was killed earlier today. Martouf…is that right?”
Jack tried to suppress an irritated growl coming from his throat. “Yes, Martouf. Anyway, did they say where that was?”
Henry shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know all the names of the worlds you guys explore, but they said they thought she escorted him back to the Tok’ra home world…wherever that is.”
Jack was stunned. He knew she’d been upset, but he didn’t think that she would go as far as escorting his body back to the planet. If he’d known she was considering that, he would have tried to stop her.
Henry cleared his throat, noticing that Colonel O’Neill had suddenly become distant and quiet. “Sir? Is everything alright?”
Jack blinked and gave him a confused look. “Are you sure that’s what they saw?”
“All I know is what they said they heard. No telling if it’s true or not.” Henry looked over at his experiment that was about to go haywire. “Um, if there’s nothing else Sir, I really need to get back to this.”
Jack gave him a quick, absent-minded nod. As he turned to leave, he spoke up. “Thanks, Harry.” With that, he walked out and headed towards General Hammond’s office.
Henry threw his hands up in frustration. All he seemed to be to that man was a source for tracking down Major Carter. Trying to dismiss it, he turned his attention back to his work.
Thirty minutes later, Jack walked back into his office, with nothing more accomplished than a lengthy discussion with General Hammond over the events that had just happened. He had hoped that the general could give him a more precise answer on Sam’s whereabouts, but all General Hammond knew was that he never gave permission for Major Carter to go through the Gate. So where was she?
Jack picked up the phone and dialed her house. When he got the machine, he hesitated, wondering if he should leave a message. But he quickly decided against it and hung up the phone. She didn’t need the recording of his voice. She needed him, rather she knew it or not.
Suddenly he had a thought. He picked up the phone and began dialing his house in order to check his messages. About halfway through dialing, he put the receiver back down and swore under his breath. The remote access code to his answering machine hadn’t been working recently. He’d been meaning to just get a new machine, but had never gotten around to it. Sighing, he grabbed his keys and headed out of his office. Walking to the elevators, he decided he would stop by his house to check his messages. Sam might have called and left a message. But it really didn’t matter if she had or not. He would start with her house and then drive all over town if he had too in order to find her. Something inside his soul told him that she needed him, and he wasn’t going to let her down.
Arriving at the surface, the warm mountain air hit his cheeks, reminding him that summer was still in full force. It was the beginning of August, and the trees and foliage all around him were displayed in different shades of green. The sun had begun to sink in the evening sky, painting it in shades of pink, orange, yellow, and the slightest hint of purple, set against a backdrop of mountain peaks. It was going to be a beautiful summer night, with a full moon and a sky full of stars. A wisp of mountain air pushed past Jack’s face, permeated in scents of mountain pine and wildflowers. But as Jack walked to his truck, the beauty of the evening seemed to be lost on him. His thoughts were only of Sam.
As he drove to his house, his thoughts returned to earlier in the day, before Marty’s death. His mind was visualizing the room in the base with the Zatarc detector, with Arnise standing behind it, and him beside her. He was looking at the Sam, who was strapped in the chair in front of the detector. He had just been forced to confess his feelings for her from that chair, in order to prove that he was not a Zatarc. And now it was her turn…
“Now, Major Carter,” Arnise began, “please tell us what happened when you regained consciousness.”
Sam took
in a breath to calm her nerves. “I woke
up and saw Colonel O’Neill on the floor.
I called out to him and managed to finally get him to respond. We both knew that the timer on the C-4 we’d
set was due to go off any minute.
Colonel O’Neill checked his watch and confirmed that we had one minute,
fifty-six seconds to get out of there.”
“What
did Colonel O’Neill do then?”
Sam
looked briefly at Jack before turning her eyes back to Arnise. “He tried to break down the force field
barrier. I told him to just go.”
“To
leave you behind.”
“Yes,”
Sam said. “I didn’t want to stand there
and watch him die unnecessarily. He had
enough time to get out. But he wouldn’t
leave me.”
Arnise
looked at the detector. It still glowed
pink, indicating that it still thought she was a Zatarc. “Major Carter, can you please tell me
exactly why you didn’t want him to stay.”
Sam’s
eyes returned to Jack’s, this time holding there. “Because he had a choice, I didn’t. I couldn’t stand to watch him die when I knew he could save
himself.”
“Because
you care about him?”
Sam
nodded slightly, her eyes still fixed with Jack’s. “He means more to me than my own life. He’s entered my heart in a way that I don’t even completely
understand. But what I do understand is
that I have feelings for him, on a level that I shouldn’t be feeling.”
Arnise
looked down at the detector and watched as the pink faded away, clearing Major
Carter of being a suspected Zatarc.
“You also are not a Zatarc.”
“Thank
you,” Sam said, a slight hint of distress in her voice.
The memory faded from Jack’s mind as he approached his house. After their forced confessions, they had agreed not to mention what had just taken place in that room. But that was for the base protocol. They could talk about it when they got a moment alone, and Jack was determined to do just that. He knew he loved her, but he needed to know the extent of Sam’s feelings, especially after what she had said.
Ever since Sam had gotten trapped behind the force field, Jack’s dreams had not been very pleasant. Nightmares would cause him to wake up in cold sweats. He visualized himself running over and over again, seeing her on the floor behind the force field, knowing his time was almost up. But each time he failed to get through the invisible barrier that separated them.
And then he would see himself pounding endlessly on the force field, desperate for anything to help him save her. He would hear the Jaffa approach, and see the regret in her eyes.
Each time his dreams would end with the ship exploding, or even more horrific, having to stand there and watch the serpent guards shoot her down with their staff weapons. He’d sometimes wake up screaming her name with tears in his eyes.
He had wanted to talk to her about his dreams, about the fears he had. If he had learned anything at all from that experience on the ship, it was that there was too much left unsaid between them. They needed to sit down and really talk, to figure out what apparently their hearts already knew.
But there hadn’t been any time to spare. Between briefings, Sam’s projects, and their last mission, no time had been found. And then the whole Zatarc thing happened.
He pulled into the driveway and turned off his truck. Sitting there for a moment, he pinched the bridge of his nose at the oncoming headache. He was so worried about her. He had to find her. Only having her in his arms would take away the pain that was invading his head. Hoping that she had left a message, he opened the door and got out, shutting it behind him.
As he approached his front door, he was about to put the keys into the lock when he heard what sounded like a muffled sniffle. Peering into the shadows on his front porch, he managed to make out the form of someone sitting in one of the rocking chairs, moving back and forth ever so slightly. Looking closer, his eyes caught the faint glow of blond hair. Sam.
Quickly putting his keys in his pocket, he moved over towards her as easily as he could, not sure if she had heard him or not. “Sam? Is that you?”
As he approached, he almost had to hold his breath in order to hear her response. “Yes, it’s me.”
Reaching the rocking chair, he squatted down in front of her. Looking up, he allowed his eyes time to adjust to the low lighting. When they did, his heart wrenched with pain at the site of her. He reached up and touched her face. “God, Sam. Are you okay? I have been worried sick about you!” His voice was soft but firm.
Sam sniffed again. Her voice came in shaky waves. “I don’t really know.” With that, tears started falling again. “I don’t know how to stop feeling whatever this…is. It’s just so hard.”
Jack stood up and took her hands. “Com’ here.”
Sam stood and surrendered to his embrace. She could feel his strength as he wrapped his arms around her. She knew it was safe now, safe to cry, safe to feel. She turned her head into his chest and let the sobs rake her body.
Jack held on tightly as her body shuttered in his arms. He kissed the top of her head and just let her cry. He couldn’t begin to understand what she was going through. But he knew that he wasn’t going to let her go through it alone.
After a few minutes, her sobs subsided, and she attempted to calm her breathing. Jack rubbed her back with one of his hands, still holding her tight. Finding his voice, he broke the quiet that had just settled in. “How long have you been here?”
Sam sniffed and wiped at her eyes with one of her hands as she slowly let him go. “I’m not sure. I just knew I couldn’t stay there. I had to be somewhere else, someplace familiar. I went home, but as soon as I pulled into the driveway, I knew that wasn’t where I wanted to be. So I came here.”
Jack cupped her face with his hands. “Why didn’t you call me? I would have been here in an instant. I was going crazy looking for you all over the base.”
Sam gave him a small smile. “I’m sorry, Jack. I didn’t mean to worry you. I just felt so…lost.”
“Well,” Jack said, “you’re not lost anymore. Come on, let’s go inside.” He put his arm around her guided her towards the front door. He had been right. Feeling her in his arms just a moment ago, and feeling her now as she leaned into him had made his headache go away, as quickly as it had come on.
Once inside, Jack flipped on a few lights as Sam wandered over to the patio doors. As she looked out, Jack came up behind her and put his arms around her. She closed her eyes, loving the feeling she got at having him so close. Leaning her head back against him, she spoke softly. “Can we go back outside and sit for a moment? I want to watch the stars come out.”
Jack smiled softly. That was one thing they definitely had in common. “You bet. Let me grab us something to drink. I don’t have any wine…do you want a beer?”
Sam nodded. “Sure. That sounds really good.”
Jack kissed the top of her head again before releasing her. “Okay. Two beers coming up.”
As Jack went to the kitchen, Sam opened the patio doors and stepped outside. The fresh mountain air filled her lungs, and she breathed in deeply as she sat down in one of the chairs, tucking one leg underneath her. Everything was so peaceful and still. Cicadas buzzed softly from the trees, indicating that fall was on its way. The colors from the sky were almost completely covered by the blanket of black that spanned across it. Sam looked up, her eyes probing the new darkness for the first stars of the night. Finally, she found the one she continuously watched for every night she could. It always seemed to be twinkling brightly in her direction, and though she had yet to admit it to Jack, she liked to think that it was Charlie watching over them. She had never known him, but now being apart of Jack’s life, she felt a closeness to him that she couldn’t explain. She even liked to talk to his star every once in a while.
Jack came out of the house and handed her a beer. Sitting down next to her, he looked over and watched her as she gazed up into the night sky. Her face was so beautiful in the pale light of the moon, which had just begun to breech the horizon of the tree line. Taking a sip of his beer, he looked up and sighed. “So, how are you, really?”
Sam closed her eyes for a moment before looking down and over at him. “It’s been hard. When I was getting ready to…kill Martouf, I kept hearing Jolinar in my head, screaming no. And when I did fire the Zat, it was like all of her emotions, her sorrow, and all of her love for him, just came flooding in at once. I couldn’t control it.”
Jack could hear the frustration and sadness in her voice. “Sam, it’s not your fault. You did what you had to do. Martouf knew that.”
Sam smiled sadly. “Yeah, but how do I explain that to Jolinar, someone who is merely a fragment of my mind, of my memories. Hell, they’re not even my memories.” She took a sip of her beer and started fingering the label on the bottle.
Jack reached out and took her hand. “ I wish I could tell you. I’m not even going to pretend to know how you’re feeling. I have enough trouble just dealing with my own emotions, let alone two separate ones.” He squeezed her hand. “How can I help you?”
Sam was so touched. Here was the man she loved, being so patient with her, trying to help her through something she couldn’t even understand, let alone expect him too. Feeling his hand in hers was so real. She clung to that feeling, knowing it would help her mind find it’s way out of the recesses of Jolinar’s memories and her feelings. She squeezed his hand in response and smiled warmly at him. “Just having you here with me is the best help I could get.”
They looked into each other’s eyes, getting lost in the emotions that were all around them. Sam slowly got up, putting her beer bottle on the railing of the deck. Sitting down on the lounge chair with Jack, no words were needed to express what she wanted. As Jack moved over and made room for her, Sam laid down with him, her body against his, as they both looked up at the stars. With their hands interlaced, they laid there for a few minutes in silence, surrendering to the quiet of the moment.
When Jack reached over and brushed a strand of her hair away from her eyes, Sam sighed contently. “Jack,” she said in a low tone. “There was one feeling that was very clear to me as I was holding Martouf after I shot him. Despite all of the sorrow that I was experiencing, I kept feeling so grateful that it wasn’t you I was holding. I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost you like that.” Hesitating, Sam felt her heart and soul singing in unison. It was time to tell him. “I want you to know that, because…I’ve fallen in love with you.”
Jack’s breath went still in his body and he felt like his heart had just stopped. He had heard her voice, but it seemed more like a dream than reality. He felt her turn towards him, her eyes looking up into his.
“Jack,” she said, “I really do love you.”
As if time had stopped around them, everything went still. Even the Cicadas faded from his hearing. Nothing existed except her. Reaching out, he ever so gently touched her face, praying this was real. When he felt the warmth of her skin under his fingers, he wanted to shout for joy. Instead, his voice came in a breathless whisper. “Oh Samantha. I love you…so much.”
Without another word, his lips captured hers, softly at first, and then grew in strength and passion. They both rose up slowly, never parting from the passion that had overwhelmed them.
Sam felt faint as the confession of his love for her registered in her heart and mind. He loved her! As his mouth explored hers, she answered his kisses by capturing his lower lip and holding it between her lips. She felt Jack do the same thing with her upper lip, and then their tongues met, capturing the fullness of each other’s mouth once more. As Jack’s mouth traveled down to her throat, kissing it as his tongue left little traces of passion in its wake, Sam did her best to catch her breath.
“Jack,” she said in urgent whispers, need ravaging her body. “Make love to me, please!”
Jack stopped momentarily and looked at her, happiness and surprise evident in his face. “Are you sure?”
Sam smiled and took his hand, kissing the back of it as he had done to hers so many times. “So sure.”
Jack smiled back at her and stood up, bringing her with him. Drawing her into his embrace, he kissed her softly, and then more deeply, allowing the passion in his soul to explode in full force. Feeling Sam starting to sway, he scooped her up into his arms and continued to kiss her as he walked into the house and towards his bedroom.
Reaching the bedroom, he entered it and placed her down gently on the bed. Lying down together, their kisses continued in perfect rhythm. Slowly, Jack rolled Sam onto her back. Breaking from her lips momentarily, he hastily removed his shirt. Looking down at her, he smiled, still wondering if this was really happening. But when Sam reached up and ran her hands over his chest, causing the fire inside to grow, he knew this was no dream. Reaching down, he pulled her to him, his mouth fiercely capturing hers as the fire continued to consume him. Working his hands underneath her shirt, he pulled it over her head. And by the light of the moon streaming through the windows, he moved his mouth down to kiss the tops of her breasts that were spilling out from her black lace bra.
Sam’s breath caught in her throat at his hungry, wanting more as each moment passed by. Embracing him, she kissed his neck as she felt his hands working the clasp of her bra free. Once the fabric was gone, she melted against his chest, loving the feel of his skin in complete intimate contact with hers. As he laid her down on the bed, his eyes ran over her body, now half exposed. She felt a rush of heat as his eyes met hers again. Pulling him down to her and kissing him again, her hands began to undo the button on his jeans, followed by the zipper. Jack did the same with her pants, and in no time, nothing was left covered.
Jack was breathless at the sight of her. Caressing her cheek, his eyes smiling at her, he hovered above her, losing himself in the woman that she was. “You are so beautiful.” His voice came in a ragged whisper. He allowed his hand to travel down her body, memorizing every inch of it. When he reached the place where her passion burned, she arched up at his touch, a muffled cry escaping her lips.
Sam had never felt the world spin so fast. His touch sent electrical pulses searing through her body. As he continued to caress her, she worked her hands down his body to his hips. Touching him, she felt his desire. Jack moaned at her touch, and she pulled him down to her with her other hand and pressed her lips against his. A ravaging hunger moved through her, and as she broke from his lips for air, her own voice echoed that hunger. “Please, Jack, please!”
Hearing her pleas, mimicking his own, he moved over her. Kissing her passionately once more, he entered her with all the fire that burned in him. Feeling her, now, completely, sent unimaginable thrills up and down his body.
Together, they moved, their rhythm matching each other’s perfectly. Both of them had been building the desires that now riveted their bodies. As they continued to enjoy the completeness of two bodies as one, two souls now joined, the fire inside each of them had grown to a blazing inferno. Together they climbed, and together they reached that climatic explosion. Holding onto each other for strength, for the sheer joy of it, they both cried out, expressing the passion that had been withheld for so long.
After it was over, they collapsed next to each other on the bed. Jack reached over and pulled her to him, her body melding perfectly to his. Bending his head, he kissed the top of her shoulder. Her skin was a creamy perfection, reflecting the moonlight in the room. He now knew that never before in his life had he ever felt so complete, so at peace. “I love you, Sam.”
Sam smiled at the wonder of hearing those words from his lips. She had never experienced so much passion and feeling with and for another person. Turning to face him, she gazed into his eyes that shone in the moonlight. “I love you so much, Jack. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to hear that you feel the same way.”
Jack kissed her gently, running his hand softly down her arm. “Did you think that I didn’t feel the same?”
Sam shrugged. “I guess I hoped, but wasn’t sure. But after what happened today with Martouf, I knew that I had to tell you. I guess I realized how easily it could all be taken away. Jolinar helped me to see that as well.”
Jack smiled at her, pulling her to his chest as he turned over onto his back. He loved the feel of her head nuzzled securely against his bare chest, as her arm draped lazily over his abdomen. Pulling the covers up over them more, he sighed contently. “Well, all I know is I’ve never felt this way before. It’s as if I’m in love for the very first time.”
Sam got a distant look in her eyes. Noticing her sudden silence, Jack squeezed her just enough to get her attention. “Sorry,” she said. “You just reminded me of something Daniel once said to me.”
Jack got a puzzled look on his face. “Okay, I’m not sure that’s such a good sign. I say love, confessing my feelings, and you think of Daniel?”
Sam giggled. “Don’t worry. It was just the mention of feeling love for the very first time.” Hesitating, she went on. “Do you remember when Daniel went crazy after having used the sarcophagus too many times?”
“Yeah. He definitely lost his head on that planet. But what does that have to do with feelings, besides his obvious obsession with the princess there?”
“When we got back to Earth, I was trying to convince Daniel that he was just going through withdrawals from not using the sarcophagus. That what he was feeling for the princess wasn’t going to last.” Sam paused briefly. “He looked me straight in the face and said ‘You’ve never really known what love is, have you?’.”
Jack ran his hand over her back, trying to keep himself from letting his irritation at Daniel’s comment ruin their night. “That was an incredibly cruel thing to say. He’s lucky I wasn’t in the room. I probably wouldn’t have been able to restrain myself from punching him. He’d been so arrogant on the planet. It would have given me an excuse to give him a reality check on how to act.”
Sam sighed. “I know he didn’t mean to hurt me. He wasn’t himself.” Sam closed her eyes and focused on the beating of Jack’s heart. “But after tonight, after what we’ve just shared, I’ve come to realize that he was right.” She rolled over on her stomach, placing her chin lightly on his chest as she looked at him with bright eyes. “I never really have known love, at least not until you.”
A slow smile formed on Jack’s lips. He was amazed at how much she affected him. With one simple phrase or word, she could wipe away the foulest of moods, and give his heart a reason to sing. And it was singing now. Reaching out, he drew her to him and kissed her for all that was in his heart.
When they broke their contact, Sam laid her head down on his shoulder, dazed by the effect of his kiss. “Wow!” she said softly. “That was almost as good as our first kiss.”
Jack, dazed himself, let the words escape before he knew he’d said them. “Now how would you know that? You were supposed to be delirious.” When Sam brought her head up and gave him a puzzled look, he realized that he’d let the cat out of the bag.
“What are you talking about, Jack? You’re kiss was amazing, yes, but I don’t think I was delirious. Unless…” Her mind suddenly flashed back to their ski trip and the resulting accident as she and Jack were returning to the base. Jack had lost control of the truck after a deer ran out in front of them. She didn’t remember much after that because she had sustained a head injury, and Jack had carried her to a deserted cabin, where he nursed her back to health.
Jack gave her an innocent look. “What?”
Sam came up on her elbows. “Don’t you give me that innocent ‘what’ Jack O’Neill! You never did tell me what happened when I was out of it. Now tell!” Reaching out, she started to tickle his side.
Laughing, Jack grabbed her wrists and pinned her down. “Alright!” Smiling down at her, he kissed her briefly before going on. “Let’s just say you were in some sort of amazing delirium, because you were trying to coax me into your bed. And then you just reached up, pulled me to you, and kissed me. I have to say, you are even a great kisser in a delirious state.”
Sam cringed and covered her eyes. “Oh God! I didn’t!”
“Hey,” Jack said, “I wasn’t complaining. But it was kind of cruel when you just passed out again, and left me with some major frustration.”
“I’m so sorry.” Sam couldn’t believe he’d managed to keep that to himself this whole time.
“Like I said, no apology needed. But since you weren’t really with it, I won’t count that as our first official kiss. Just a really good preview to the real one.” Jack laughed as Sam attempted to tickle him again.
Sam smiled at him. “If I didn’t love you so much, I’d have to be mad at you for keeping that little secret to yourself.”
Jack captured her mouth in another passionate kiss. “Well, I know now that you do, so you can’t be mad at me.” Watching as the moonlight suddenly danced in her eyes, he pulled her to him again and held her close. “And I love you too.”
As they each drifted off to sleep wrapped in one embrace, their breathing became more shallow and relaxed, as their hearts found the contentment they had been seeking. Sam and Jack had finally admitted their love for each other, allowing the echoes of their souls to join as one in a passion that neither one of them had ever experienced before. And even though they both knew that they had a lot more challenges to face and overcome, be it missions or just life in general, the bond they now openly shared would help to guide them through the journey they were traveling together.
**An extra Author’s Note:
Now that you have read this story, I ask you to read the
words to this most beautiful song, sung by Josh Groban. “When You Say You Love Me” is a song that
could not more perfectly define Sam and Jack for this story in my series. And in my mind, it is also perfect for the
show itself, when we know that one day soon, Sam and Jack will eventually
confess their feelings of love for each other.
Like the sound of silence calling,
I hear your voice and suddenly I’m falling,
Lost in a dream.
Like the echoes of our souls are meeting,
You say those words,
My heart stops beating.
I wonder what it means.
What could it be that comes over me?
At times I can’t move.
At times I can hardly breath.
When you say you love me,
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me,
For a moment, there’s no one else alive.
You’re the one I’ve always thought of.
I don’t know how, but I feel sheltered in your
love.
You’re where I belong.
And when you’re with me if I close my eyes,
There are times I swear I feel like I can fly,
For a moment in time.
Somewhere between the Heavens and Earth,
And frozen in time,
Oh when you say those words.
When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me
For a moment there’s no one else alive.
And this journey that we’re on.
How far we’ve come and I celebrate every
moment.
And when you say you love me,
That’s all you have to say.
I’ll always feel this way.
When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still and silent.
When you say you love me
In that moment I know why I’m alive.
When you say you love me.
When you say you love me.
Do you know how I love you?
